Raise the sails

ripple of a current in the water, salty mist in the air

salty mist in the air, calm before the storm

nobody seems to care

dark clouds on the horizon

thunder and lightening will be here

better leave before we’re

paralyzed with fear

Raise the sails, weigh anchor

Raise the sails, weigh anchor

We’ll take the good book, leave without much fuss

Find this new world, before the king can break us

History books will forever tell our tale

Raise the sails, weigh anchor

Raise the sails, weigh anchor

These people believe in the inner light

Direct connection with god, it’s a birthright

Many were jailed, many were stoned

Only a few came to this new, green land alive

I guess the bay wasn’t enough for them

They had to

Raise the sails, weigh anchor

Raise the sails, weigh anchor
